ASCO™ Pinch Valves

The valve that never touches what it controls: the mechanism pinches a flexible tube from the outside, so the fluid path is the tube and nothing else — no seat, no stem, no dead volume, no cross-contamination.

A pinch valve inverts the usual problem. In every other valve the fluid meets machined metal, seats and packing, and the engineering question is how to keep the two compatible. Here the fluid meets a length of tubing and nothing else — so compatibility becomes a tubing choice, cleaning becomes a tube change, and there is no crevice for product to sit in between batches.

That is why the line is built around the tube, not the body: silicone, C-Flex and Tygon in 55–80 Shore A, gamma-radiated, in sizes from 1/4" to 1" OD. Actuation is the second decision — compressed air on the 273/373, a direct-acting solenoid on the 284/384 for silent operation in clinical equipment, or a stepper motor on the S170/S370 when you want to modulate rather than switch.
